Start with the task you need the bank to handle. For a laptop, match its USB-C input to the bank’s single-port output, then decide how much carry weight the extra headroom is worth. For phone-first use, a built-in lead or magnetic charging may matter more than another 100W on the label.

A quick way to narrow it down

  • Laptop that needs no more than 65W: The Anker Power Bank 20K gives up to 65W from one USB-C connection and weighs about 431 g. Specifications
  • Laptop that can use 100W: The Anker Laptop Power Bank 25K raises the one-port ceiling to 100W, with a 595 g carry weight. Specifications
  • A 140W laptop or two demanding devices: The Anker Prime Power Bank 26K offers up to 140W from either USB-C port with a compatible device and 5A cable. At about 600 g, its extra output is overkill when your devices cannot use it. Specifications
  • Phone charging without packing a lead: The Anker Nano 10K has a retractable USB-C cable and up to 45W from that cable or its USB-C port when used alone. Specifications
  • Magnetic charging for a compatible iPhone: The Anker MagGo 10K Slim supports Qi2 up to 15W and USB-C up to 30W when used alone. Specifications
  • One device for the wall and your bag: The Anker Prime Fusion 9.6K is a 65W USB-C charger and a 9,600mAh power bank. It is the convenience option; its reserve is modest beside a dedicated laptop bank. Specifications

The laptop trade-off is weight versus usable output

The 20K bank is the lighter answer when 65W covers the laptop. Moving to the 25K model adds 164 g for a 100W USB-C connection, 90Wh of rated capacity, and two built-in USB-C cables. That extra weight makes sense for a laptop that benefits from the higher ceiling; otherwise, it is a lot to carry for unused output. The 165W figure is shared across connections, not available to one device. Power allocation

The 26K Prime sits at roughly the same weight as the 25K bank, but its 140W ports are a narrower fit: they help when a compatible laptop or second high-draw device can use them. A 300W total is not a reason by itself to carry it. Specifications For a scenario-by-scenario decision between these two banks, see A1695 vs A110A and the individual A1695 review and A110A review.

Phone-first banks solve different annoyances

The Nano removes the loose-cable step. TechRadar’s reviewer found its cable and display practical, while also reporting thermal throttling and reduced high-power performance in testing; those are findings from that review. TechRadar review

The MagGo is for compatible iPhones where snapping on a magnetic bank is the point. In Macworld’s repeated-drain test, the reviewer measured 188% cumulative recharge of an iPhone 15 Pro; that result is specific to the reviewer’s test setup. Macworld review

For flights, FAA guidance says power banks belong in carry-on baggage; 0 to 100 Wh lithium-ion batteries are generally allowed, subject to airline restrictions. FAA passenger battery guidance
